NB Sunflower Festival
The NB Sunflower Festival in Salisbury is a blooming success! It officially made its debut in August 2019, and this spectacular event is now part of New Brunswick’s annual family fun festivals. It is held in a massive field behind The Green Pig County Market.
Sunflower Experience
The Sunflower Experience opens mid to late August, daily from 10 am to 5 pm (Fridays until 7 pm). An Early Bloom Weekend happens as well. See link at end of article for specific details. General Public Admission is just $10 for Ages 4-10 yrs (0-3 yrs are FREE), and $20 for Ages 11+. Each ticket includes admission, wagon rides around the perimeter of the field, and one sunflower bloom of the guest’s choice. Pre-purchase your ticket(s) for ease of entry on the day you want to attend (see link at the end of this article) or buy your ticket(s) on location.
Sunflower Bouquets
Admission to the NB Sunflower Festival gives you the opportunity to enjoy a jump on - jump off wagon ride around the perimeter of the sunflower field of over 250,000 blooms, music, an artisans & crafters vendor market, a children’s activities area, and the opportunity to select and cut one sunflower bloom to take home with you. Enjoy yellow, orange, red, white, and black sunflowers in every size you can imagine for your picking and viewing pleasure.
More Sunflowers
If you desire more sunflowers, there are various price points from one extra sunflower to 6, 12 or 18 more, or an all-you-can-fill bucket, and with several varieties, and several bouquet options, you can choose your dream sunflower bouquet! Decorative containers are also available for purchase. Proceeds from NB Sunflower Festival’s additional bloom purchases are donated to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation.
Sunflower Spectacular Pass
There are even more options available for Sunflower Enthusiasts! If you LOVE sunflowers, you can make the festival your very own sunflower-filled dream with extra passes. Want two different views? The Sunflower FlexPass is valid for ANY two days including Early Bloomers, so you can enjoy two different views of the event. Is the sunflower field your happy place? The Sunflower ULTIMATE Access Pass is valid for EVERY day of the event and includes a bloom with every visit. Are you totally into sunflowers? The Sunflower Spectacular Pass is an ULTIMATE every-day access pass with a bloom on every visit, plus your choice of (1) signature bucket with 10 blooms. This is a sunflower worshippers delight!
That Perfect Instagrammable Moment
Stations with incredible props to play are on site too from a brightly painted pink tractor, and a great traditional red one too, a bathtub, a large wooden swing, a church pew, a bicycle, a British-style bright red phone booth, a large doorway with room for a family, a cute framed farmer’s stand, a couple fainting couches, and plenty of frames and chairs (wooden ones to fancy velvet Victorian ones). These props and photo ops are scattered throughout the sunflower fields for you to capture a new Facebook Profile Pic or find that perfect Instagrammable moment - you know ya gotta feed the ‘gram! Wedding and family photographs are also taken here often too. If you would like to bring your own professional photographer, there is opportunity for that with a limited number of passes available per day for a 3-hour full access fee. Yoga in the Flowers
B.Y.O.Y.M. Bring Your Own Yoga Mat and enjoy an hour long yoga class in the middle of the sunflower field! Morning classes begin at 11am on Saturdays and Sundays. No extra charge - just the regular admission price to the festival. Yoga in the flowers - what an experience!
Arts & Crafts, a Charming Country Market, Little Red Rooster Cafe, and an Ice Cream Stand
The Artisans & Crafters market offers various local products, and they are open Saturday and Sundays during the Festival. The Green Pig Country Market is always there for you to enjoy their farm fresh produce, great coffee, baked goods, giftware & NB products. If you are looking for breakfast or lunch, the Little Red Rooster Cafe is also open to grab a bite inside or out on the patio from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Enjoy a Farm-to-Table menu with daily features inspired by the harvest of the same day. There is also an ice cream stand on site too. You have choices - plenty of them.
