Indulge St. Andrews
New Brunswick’s Food and Wine Festival
Every autumn, the weekend after Thanksgiving, the seaside town of St. Andrews by-the-Sea hosts one of New Brunswick’s most anticipated events, the Indulge Food and Wine Festival. It’s a celebration of the province’s rich culinary heritage, where the best local chefs, winemakers, craft brewers, distillers, and food artisans come together to showcase the flavours that make this region shine.
Set against a stunning coastal backdrop, Indulge St. Andrews offers a delicious long weekend filled with tastings, special dinners, live entertainment, and experiences that highlight Atlantic Canada’s finest ingredients and culinary talent.
Whether you’re sipping wine on a balcony as the sun melts into Passamaquoddy Bay, sampling oysters along Water Street, or raising a glass and enjoying small plates with friends at a kitchen party, Indulge serves up warmth, connection, and inspiration in every bite.
Tickets go on sale online in mid-summer for every event, and trust me, they go fast. So, gather your friends, mark your calendars, and be ready to hit “buy” on release day. Follow Indulge Food and Wine on Facebook for the latest updates and announcements.
And to make sure everyone gets home safely, take advantage of the ANBL Safe Ride program. Free rides are offered within St. Andrews throughout the weekend. It’s a great way to keep the celebrations worry-free and responsibly fun.
St. Andrews Wine Mixer - Dueling Pianos
Introduced in 2023, Dueling Pianos quickly became one of Indulge’s most talked-about events, and for good reason. Part concert, part comedy, part audience takeover, it’s an absolute riot of sing alongs, laughter and dancing.
This year, my friends Julie, Lucie, and I arrived a day early just to catch it, and we were glad we did. Featuring New York’s Shake, Rattle & Roll Dueling Pianos, the show promises “88 keys, thousands of songs, and endless possibilities.” The crowd gets to choose the playlist, and the duo delivers everything from Billy Joel to Bon Jovi, Britney Spears to Bruno Mars, with enough energy to make Drewhaven’s heritage walls shake!
It’s fun, interactive, and all for a good cause as proceeds support St. Andrew’s Food Bank. Tickets are just $30, and with only 100 seats per night, they sell out almost instantly. If you’re planning your Indulge itinerary, this event deserves a top spot.
Taste of St. Andrews
This is the event my friends and I look forward to all year! On Friday night from 5:30–8:30 PM, Water Street transforms into a lively, walkable tasting trail as local shops and businesses open their doors for food and drink pairings.
You pick up your pre-paid bracelets, glasses, and online maps, then wander through over 30 tasting locations as live music fills the street, and laughter spills from every doorway. It’s casual, festive, and delicious, the kind of night that reminds you how fun it is to live (and eat!) in the Maritimes.
Wine, Beer and Spirits Trail
If you love discovering hidden gems, this is the event for you! The Wine, Beer & Spirits Trail invites you to explore St. Andrews hopping venue to venue as you sip your way through creative cocktails, smooth whiskeys, bold reds, crisp whites, and local brews. Bracelets, glasses, and self-guided tasting trail maps are available for pick up the day of, and each stop reveals something new. It’s laidback, social, and a perfect way to experience the town’s welcoming charm. Be sure to pace yourself and grab some bites along the way, too.
Rossmount Inn Hike for the Food Bank
End the weekend with something that feeds the body and soul. The Chamcook Mountain Hike, hosted by the Rossmount Inn, is a family-friendly event where 100% of proceeds support the local Food Bank.
Tickets are only $15, and participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items. After your self-paced hike, everyone gathers for Chef Chris Aerni’s famous chili, followed with a sweet treat. It’s the perfect reward after a crisp autumn climb surrounded by stunning fall colours. There’s something special about closing out the weekend surrounded by nature, community, and good food for a cause.
Why It’s More Than a Festival — It’s a Tradition
I’ve been attending Indulge St. Andrews for over a decade now. It’s become our thing. My besties and I block off the weekend months in advance, secure our accommodations early, and set phone reminders for ticket day. Each year, it’s the same wonderful rhythm, laughter, tastings, music and memories that always outshine the last.
The events I shared are just a sample of the experiences available during Indulge. There are many to choose from on Indulge’s Full Schedule. From the refined Flavours After Five chef-hosted tastings and the Autumn Feast at the Algonquin Resort, to a sommelier-led Warm Whites & Cool Reds Wine Tasting at Noble by the Sea, to Whiskey Tastings at Kingsbrae Garden and Brats and Brews at Sage. Add in food trucks, a farmers market, concerts, and kitchen parties, and the weekend becomes an exhilarating blur of flavour, music, and Maritime charm.
It’s easy to see why so many of us return year after year. St. Andrews casts a spell, and Indulge is one of the best ways to experience it.
