Chester Nova Scotia

Historic Seaside Chester

The historic seaside village of Chester has artisan shops galore and the most delightful cafés & seafood restaurants. It boasts an 18-hole golf course, a thriving live theatre playhouse and two harbours. Wander artisan shops, grab a tasty lunch or linger for dinner and take in a show at the playhouse, or simply sit back & bask in the harbour front ocean views as sailboats dance on the waves.

Kiwi Café

Enjoy a Breakfast Burrito and partake in a delish lemon square or opt for a B.L.A.T. with peppermint tea. You can’t go wrong at Kiwi Café. I love the bright, colourful decor and the vibrant atmosphere. The locals really here love it & no wonder. Count on friendly service & very tasty food. Bring a mate to share the experience.

Chester Treasures

Find an artisan treasure at a gift shop in Chester or find out what all the hidden Oak Island pirate mystery treasure hype is all about from The Curse of Oak Island. Jump aboard Salty Dogs Sea Tours to explore the mysteries. Cycle the scenic roads, climb Castle Rock, hike Graves Island Provincial Park, or go antiquing around Chester. Blue Shutters Art Gallery & Antiques is my favourite shop in the area. Check out the reproduction Maud Lewis tole-painted tray I found there below created by a local painter. Hidden gems and treasures galore await you. Treasure your time in Chester and find some local treasures, too.

The Rope Loft

Be sure to grab a bite and some lunch at The Rope Loft restaurant. Enjoy cocktails & apps or a tried & true seafood speciality with an ocean view from two decks.
